CHLI Pays Tribute To Ileana Ros-Lehtinen: From Educator To Global Leader

The “A Lifetime of Achievement” Award from CHLI was awarded to Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the first Hispanic woman to be elected congresswoman in 1989 and likewise in 1982 she was elected to the Florida House of Representatives. 

The Award Gala was coordinated by Mary Ann Gómez Orta, President and Director, and Lincoln Díaz-Balart, President of the Board of Directors, on April 11 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
