ANDl Inter-American Development Bank invites reading lovers to present the book “A world full of the future. Ten Chronicles of Latin America, “by journalist and writer Leila Guerriero on Monday, November 20 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Enrique V. Iglesias Auditorium – IDB 1330 New York Avenue NW, Washington DC 20577.
During the presentation there will be a conversation with the editor of the book, Leila Guerriero, one of the most outstanding voices in the world of the chronicle. He is accompanied by the chroniclers Juan Manuel Robles and Gabriela Alemán who will tell two stories of innovation narrated in the book. A world full of future.
Ten Chronicles from Latin America, from Editorial Planeta, tells 10 stories of great ideas that have left their mark in Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Argentina and Uruguay. Stories written by the best journalists in the region: the Spanish Arturo Lezcano, the Colombian Juan Miguel Álvarez, the Ecuadorian Gabriela Alemán, the Paraguayan Luján Rornán, the Uruguayan César Bianchi, the Peruvians Juan Manuel Robles and Joseph Zarate, and the Argentines Sol Lauría , Miguel Prenz and Javier Sinay. Leila Guerriero is from Argentina and has been working in journalism for 26 years.
She is the author of the books Suicides of the End of the World, Strange Fruits, American Plane and A Simple Story. As editor, she was in charge of the projects of the works Los malos (several authors), Temas lento (Alan Pauls) and Maneuvers de evasion (Pedro Mairal), among others. She is a teacher at the Fundación de Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano (FNPI) and winner of the Cemex-FNPI award with the chronicle El rastro en los huesos.
