In addition to wanting to raise the cup that accredits them as 2018 FIFA World Cup champions, at an individual level, players also want to conquer the gold prize given to the player with the most goals in the sports competition that ends on July 15. 

In that department, Englishman Harry Kane sets the standard with six scores in four games. Three of those goals were scored in the same game of the regular round against the selection of Panama. 

The other player who could make the competition to the English Tottenham striker is Romelu Lukaku, of Belgium, who has four units and will play the quarterfinal match no less than against Brazil. 

Cristiano Ronaldo also scored four goals, but Uruguay cut the chances of increasing his mark when he eliminated Portugal in the Octaves of Final. The other players who are still in contention for the gold booty are locals Artem Dzyuba and Denis Cheryshev, with three goals apiece. Edinson Cavani, from Uruguay also has three; like Kylian Mbappé, from France. 

The player to score the most goals in a single edition of a FIFA Soccer World Cup was the Frenchman Just Fontaine in Sweden 1958 when he scored a dozen goals plus one. But it is the German Miroslav Klose who has the most goals in the history of the World Cup, with 16. 

In the Soccer World Cups, the best goal of the tournament and the goalkeeper with the least goals are also awarded. In this last section we could highlight Fernando Muslera, from Uruguay, and the Brazilian Alisson Becker, both with a goal against. 
To choose the best goal we will have to wait until the end of the tournament to see what other surprises we have these professional players.
